Whether you’re dreaming of a small and intimate gathering or planning a lavish, cosy celebration, look no further. Our stunning hall overlooks the Truro River, forming the perfect backdrop for lasting memories and alfresco dining.

Size: 8 meters long x 5.5 meters wide - less the kitchen area

Capacity: Comfortably seats 30 to 45 guests, depending on table arrangements

Buffett food standing / socialising for around 80 guests

Patio: Stunning views overlooking the Truro River. Seating is available for a further 15 guests

Open-plan kitchen: The fully equipped kitchen provides an intimate experience for you and your guests.

The kitchen includes an electric oven, a hob, a refrigerator, two electric kettles, a microwave, a coffee machine. Tableware, glasses, and cutlery are also available for hire, along with a selection of kitchen utensils.
We do not provide table covers or decorations

Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene has to be considered and is the responsibility of the person making the booking. The bookings manager will require further information on the preparation and consumption of food from this kitchen area. If you are preparing food and cooking in this kitchen, please inform us on the booking form, as we will require further details.

Tables and Chairs: All the tables and chairs are included in the Hire

There are 5 square Bistro Tables 750 x 750 in the Barton Hall, together with 20 Bistro Chairs. These are set out all the time and are ready to use. There is an additional cost if table place settings are required.

You can design your layout using additional larger tables and chairs from the St Andrews Hall (subject to them not being required for a booking in St Andrews Hall).

For a special event or performance St Andrews Hall can also be booked where we can provide a seating and stage plan to suit your requirements.

General Information:

We are using a key safe system to access the hall, and a code will be made available to you before your booking. The hall should be locked and the key returned at the end of hire.

Accessibility:

On the front elevation, we have an external Disabled Lift and “Drop off Point” that transports you from road level up to the Patio and level access throughout the building. This lift can also be used for moving heavy goods.

Please inform us if you require the use of the lift on the booking form.

Internal Access / Disabled Access:

All our doorways are wide and have easy access to toilet facilities. There are no significant changes in floor levels inside the building. A disabled Wc is provided.

Services:

All main services are included in the hire (Heating, Lighting, Water, etc)

Decorations:

You have the flexibility to decorate the premises as you wish. Decorations can be hung on the walls using only the hooks provided. Please do not use Blu-Tack or adhesive tape, i.e. Sellotape, etc. as this may damage the paintwork. You may also decorate the Balcony. We can recommend other means of affixing decorations if you require.

Cleaning:

We ask that you tidy everything away following your event and leave the premises as you found it. We provide all cleaning equipment for your use to help with this. We ask that all excess rubbish be taken home with you.

External Cleaners:

External cleaners can be employed at an additional charge. Please request further details. We are a Charity Trust, and all the committee members are volunteers who serve the local community. Many thanks for your help.
