The Barton Hall kitchen has serving worktops which doubles up as the bar, or the St Andrews Hall is perfect for setting out food and drink on a portable bar for your guests.

A licence will not be required for alcohol being given away providing there is no charge / donation. If alcohol is included as part of a ticket or entrance fee then a licence will be required.

We will require a name and details of a “responsible person” who will manage the distribution of alcohol at your event.

Sale and or serving of alcoholic refreshments

We would normally provide our own bar staff/bar service (additional charge) if alcohol is consumed on the premises. Our staff will attend the bar, serve and service as required. We do not take money; drinks are served using tokens issued by you. This system means that you have total control over the alcohol consumed, and we can safeguard that everything is per the licensing law. Please ask for assistance if you are planning an event.

Our Dolphin Bar is stocked with basic drinks according to the requirements of the event administrator. You can provide your own drinks or we can buy in specifically on your instruction. Alternatively, you may wish to hire the services of a catering company to attend your event to provide bar facilities as a package. This will not usually require use of the hall’s alcohol licence as they are likely to have their own licence for such events.

All drinks must be consumed on the premises, strictly no drinking on the highway or private lanes.
